Exploring Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way Number 1 on Amazon

08th April 2017

It's almost a year since David Flanagan and I released our book. I didn't give much thought to the reception it would get while we were putting it together, I was just happy to be involved in the process of documenting an area I love. But the happiness must have come through in the end product, if the picture above is anything to go by. We've been hovering around the number one mark for Irish guidebooks on Amazon UK for a bit now. The first time I saw that little orange flag I got quite a shock! Thanks to everybody who bought the book and to those who took the time to review it for us. It's very satisfying to see that people enjoy it.

Over the past couple of weeks David and I have been writing short pieces about some of the hidden gems along the west coast, based on our experiences of visiting and researching the areas in the book. As well as these shorter visits I've spent most of the past five years living somewhere on the west coast (Mayo, Clare and Kerry) so I think between us we have a fairly decent knowledge of the Wild Atlantic Way. Head over to the Three Rock Books blog to see some of our county by county suggestions if you're looking to head somewhere a little less well known. And if you'd like to get your hands on a book to start planning for the summer (or even sooner - the current forecast for the upcoming long weekend is fantastic!) then you can buy direct from Three Rock Books, order it on Amazon or find it at your local bookshop (and if they don't have it in stock make sure and tell them what they're missing!)
